This short film tells the uncompromising true story of statues drenched in blood and controversy.  The Kingdom of Benin was paid manillas (bronze currency) in exchange for human beings they sold to Europeans into the Transatlantic Slave trade. They melted them down casting them into bronzes.  The statues are currently in museums all over the world.
